Tribute to Jen Rees Larcombe

Born in 1942 to Tom and Jean Rees, Evangelists, Jen

gave her heart to Jesus at the age of 4 and made her

first convert (brother Justyn) three years later.

Growing up at Hildenborough Hall, a Christian

Conference Centre, was not always easy but gave

Jen a passion for the work of the Kingdom.

 

Jen first recited a poem as a child of 8 in the Tom

Rees Crusade at the Albert Hall and gave her last talk

on a Beauty From Ashes Healing Day at the age of 79

years and 50 weeks, less than a fortnight before going

to heaven.

 

Married to Tony Larcombe, Jen had six children when

she was felled by encephalitis, and was very ill.

Desperately sick, she felt herself rising into heaven

where she was offered a chance to stay or go back.

Conscious of her six children, Jen chose to go back.

 

After eight years of increasing incapacity and being

confined to a wheelchair she was supernaturally

healed by God - still the only miraculous healing to be

reported on the front pages of the Times and Daily

Telegraph and to be featured on the BBC TV news.

 

Despite severe dyslexia, Jen wrote 38 books, which

are still significantly impacting people all over the

world.

 

Jen moved into a powerful healing and speaking

ministry. After her husband left her, God

supernaturally provided the finance to purchase her

bungalow, and, in 1996, the Beauty From Ashes

Ministry of Inner Healing was birthed. She spoke

internationally, but it was in welcoming the hurting to

her home in Kent for prayer ministry where she found

her true joy and deepest satisfaction.

 

Jen stepped lightly out of life and into the presence of

the One she loved so dearly and served so faithfully

on 24 October 2022, five days after her 80th birthday,

having passed her mantle and the leadership of

Beauty From Ashes to Carol some six months before.

 

Her legacy and her pioneering work in inner healing

continue in the ministry of Beauty From Ashes today...
